Although recently refurbished and purchased by our clients, this charming coastal style dwelling at Currumbin Waters lacked the space required for a growing family and was in need of some additional street appeal. Our brief was to continue with the coastal theme of the home, while expanding its footprint and building in underneath to provide its occupants with larger living spaces, an additional rumpus room, an extra office, bedroom, bathroom and large entertaining balconies. The home was also to connect to a new pool area at the front of the site. By extending upon the front of the property, we were able to use this opportunity to create a new façade to the home. Through some cleverly placed angled forms and dramatic roof shapes, the project was able to capitalise better on some existing viewpoints as well as a heightened sense of drama to the front façade. The resultant work has totally transformed the home and our clients could not be more excited.
