This raise and renovate project in Hawthorne strikes the perfect balance between old and new. The existing home oozed a traditional character that we did not wish to lose, whilst still wanting to modernise the new parts. The design for the new sections of the home is intentionally sympathetic to the old yet presented with cleaner lines and more modern detailing to distinctly stand out in its own right. The floorplan of this home has been meticulously crafted to beautifully work with the existing layout and contain the new parts completely underneath the current home’s footprint. This has resulted in a controlled budget for the client and the ability to maintain the beautiful lawn at the rear of the property which was all part of the initial design brief.
