We’ve been truly blessed to be trusted by the clients of this unique, rural property at Coochin to design their dream family home. This expansive property sprawls over in excess of 600 square meters and delivers a multitude of luxurious living spaces, quiet spaces and home offices for its residents. The roof forms and material choices of this project are very intentional and have been carefully selected and designed to reduce maintenance, while also allowing for increased airflow and natural light through the large building form. One unique challenge of this design was due to its size and the resultant impact of internalising some of the rooms. The solution to this was the uniquely shaped pop-up roof form which runs as a central spine through the entire home. This floods every room with natural light and high-level views to the surrounding treetops.
