Brookfield

This project was perhaps one of our biggest design challenges to date, as the existing home was a 70s style architecturally designed brick residence, sprawled over 4 split levels. This broke the home into a multitude of wings, each with varying height raked ceilings. Refurbishing and extending upon homes of this nature can be very challenging, especially while trying to create a harmonious whole between the old and new parts. By working off existing roof forms and building footprints, the proposed design creates a far more practical internal layout while also helping to harmonise the home into a more modern and uniform whole. The new design also reconnects the house to a new modern outdoor entertaining area as well as to the sprawling paddock beyond.
